HOW TO REACH PADUA

Easily reachable by plane, car and train, Padova is strategically located in the North-East part of Italy, in Veneto region between Venice and Verona. The city’s railway station and the nearby airports in Venice, Treviso, Verona and Bologna provide excellent connections with the rest of Italy and further afield.

In order to ease the travel preparations for your trip to Italy for the upcoming Congress, we suggest you to visit the dedicated page of the official website of the Italian Government for any needed information on traveling to Italy!

We also recommend you not to forget to check if your Country requires special documentation to leave.

BY AIRPLANE

The nearest Airports are Venice (approx. 45 kms), Treviso (approx. 60 kms) and Verona (approx. 90 kms).

Venezia “Marco Polo” Airport 
From the airport, you can reach Padua by:

  • SITA coach (every 30 minutes) until 10 pm
  • Train from Venezia–Mestre railway station. The airport is linked to Venezia-Mestre train station by ATVO Fly bus or ACTV city bus no. 5. The bus stop is on the second lane outside the Airport Arrivals hall. More info available clicking here.
  • At the Mestre railway station you can take a train directly to Padova.

Treviso “Antonio Canova” Airport 
This airport serves most of all low-cost airlines. You can travel to Padua by La Marca coach until 8.30 pm or by train. The airport is linked to Treviso train station by ACTT bus no. 6. At the Treviso railway station you can take a train directly to Padova.

Verona “Valerio Catullo” Airport 
From the airport, we suggest to travel to Padua by train. The airport is linked to Verona train station by Aerobus until 11 pm. At the Verona Porta Nuova railway station you can take a train directly to Padova.

BY TRAIN

Padua railway station is a 15-minute walk from the old city centre; there are direct train services to Venice, Trieste, Verona, Milan, Bologna, Florence and Rome.

TOP 3 IMPORTANT THINGS to know about COVID-19 and IGM 2022 in Padua:

In Italy a valid GREEN PASS is mandatory to access the Congress venue and the main means of transport (airplanes, high-speed trains and buses).

2.
